Star Wars Galaxy Under Construction
I thought this article was rather amusing. The comments are really the interesting part as people basically stated it was going downhill long before WoW came along. I remember signing up for the beta of Star Wars Galaxies only to be disappointed on how slow it performed on my old PC. I never did revisit it again when it finally went gold.

I don't know how it's been able to last this long, to tell you the truth. I got the game when it came out and had some fun, but I never really got into the game. For someone like me, who was very casual with playing time, I found the learning curve a bit much, so I only played it sparringly.
After a while, I quit the game for a time, then when the expansion came out, Lightspeed which allowed flight and space combat, I came back, but mostly because a few friends started playing it. I tried getting back into it, but it became more about grinding and seemed like going to a job than having fun and gaming.
In any case, I tried to hold out till WoW was released, but I quit before because I wasn't having fun and I wanted to relax and play a game after work, not come home and feel like I had a second job!
I made the right choice! The new game I'm looking out for now is Star Trek Online! That doesn't mean I'm quiting WoW, it just means I want a sci fi mmo now as well! :)
I thought this blog was posted by Krudd for some reason, man I'm losing it! I think I confused this with Krudd's older blog about Empire at War.
