Golden Opportunity

MSNBC published a great article on the current housing situation for first time buyers in California today. Nothing shocking, but since working at Prudential, I have been curious to see a graphical curve of the median prices over the past 10 years, and now I have one.

I figure it's a great time to buy now if that curve continues, say to a median price of $1,000,000 in the next four years. If not then well... time to send the resume to Texas based 3D Realms?

The Colonel Returns

I thought it would be interesting to bring up what I forgot to mention before in that KFC in Japan not only celebrates Christmas but also the Japanese holiday of Children's Day (Boy's Day), which occurred this past Thursday on May 5th.

Colonel Sanders showing his Samurai spirit.

Traditionally, a part of Children's Day consists of families decorating a guest room with historical dolls, miniature Samurai helmets, armor and such...hence the Colonel getting into the action.

I have to wonder with such an interest in KFC (KFC was mentioned at least twice in a popular TV show called Trivia no Izumi) if there are Japanese tour buses going to the Colonel Harland Sanders Cafe & Museum in Corbin, Kentucky- similar to the international tours to Walt Disney's Hometown Museum in Marceline, Missouri.
