Xbox 360 Fall Update

Microsoft has finally revealed all the new features of it's upcoming Fall 2007 Update for the 360. Looks like the Xvid/DivX support rumors were actually true. I'll see if I can test this out come Dec 4th.

Impressive update. There's an endless number of possible Xvid/Divx video/audio configurations so it's nice that Microsoft spells out what it supports. Does it work as advertised?

Yes it works beautifully. Another big update for me was the fact they let you play video files off an external USB hard drive, only negative is that it only supports FAT32. This does open up new doors for me as I think my search for ripping my kids DVD's for playback on the HDTV has ended. Who would have thought Microsoft came up with this solution for me before Apple?
